We used what our consultant gave us. They are usually spot on. Just in case the coordinates are: 35.785355, -79.665604 . As for the temporary impacts at the existing bridge, the old bridge is being removed and we are providing bank stabilization where the bents are being removed. The temporary impacts on the ends of the permanent impacts are there to provide access to placement of bank stabilization and/or to catch any rogue rock pieces that may fall during construction. There really should be nothing to remove in the temporary area at existing bridge. It is a standard practice to have some temporary allowance where NCDOT places permanent bank stabilization. Also, the temporary bank stabilization impact on the right side of the road for the ditch is done for the same reasoning as the existing bridge. I hope this helps, if you have more questions or if I have caused more confusion let me know. What type of structures/materials will be employed? Are the temp impacts related to dewatering? I’m assuming that if they are temp, the stabilization will be removed once the project is complete? One other note was that the lat/long on the PCN provides the incorrect location for this project. In the future, please double check lat/longs prior to submitting applications because those data are entered into our database upon receipt. Not a big deal but takes time to correct. I made the correction for this one. Thanks. Dave W.
