Dear Ms. Karoly:
I am writing to answer comments that you provided in your letter to Mr. Lewis, dated
January 15, 2008. A copy of the letter is attached for reference.
The PCN that we sent to your office is for installation of a sewer force main. This force
main is a pressurized line that only conveys wastewater from one location to another. This is not
a sewer collection line. Therefore, the line is not being constructed for development of adjacent
properties. There are no cumulative impacts, as this project is not associated with any present or
future development. Rather, the line is being constructed to replace an existing line which has
reached the end of its useful life.
Five copies of this letter are attached for your use. Also attached is a letter from the
Town of Spindale which names BP Barber as authorized agent for the Town of Spindale. Please
send all future correspondence directly to this office.
We respectfully request that you resume your review of this important project. If you
require any other information, I am at your service.
