As far as condition #6 in the 401 approval dated January 4, I submitted a th copy of the report as well as full and half-size plans of the approved SMP on December 28, 2015 as requested. Looking back at the transmittal, however, it doesn’t appear that I included the approval letter so I’ve attached it for your records. If the submittal was never received please let me know and I’ll resubmit. This may all be moot as this point because as pointed out by Boyd and as specifically stated in the 401 approval, the SWP th will need to be modified based on the new site plan. My hope was that, just as stated in the January 4 letter, we could get 401 approval on the same conditional basis…that once the modified SWP is approved, I would forward to DWR and we could proceed. My apologies for the confusion…please advise how you would like to proceed. LOL I believe Boyd (below) is referencing the new stream impact (modification) that we discussed yesterday. Has troutman sent up the SW plans, etc. It seems not. Take a look at his comments below. I received the Kimley-Horn letter th dated March 9, 2016 asking for approval of a modification request due to a DOT issue. There was a letter sent from the th field office on January 4 giving them 401 approval but telling them to submit a copy of the full sized SW plan with proof of approval from Troutman and also if there were other modifications, they should send us a plan with evidence of approval from Troutman. . They instead sent send Karen a letter asking for approval of the plan modification. Should th you or I contact them and remind them what our Dec 4 letter said? Plan — Cross Tie Lane at US 21 Engineering Documents Approval Dear Mr. Bostic: Having received and reviewed the plan sheets dated November 2, 2015 and revised December 3, 2015, and the accompanying documents, I am issuing approval of the engineering portions of the project, subject to the following conditions: I. On Sheet C-4.0 the base flood elevations (BEE) should be shown. 2. On Sheet C-5.0 and C-5.1 revise the fire hydrant location at the end of the new commercial street such that it is connected to the water main with a tee and valve. The water main shall dead end with a valve and plug restrained by a concrete collar (see attached mark-up). 3. On Sheet C-5.0 and C-5.1 revise the water mains in the round -about area to keep the water main out of the median. See attached mark-up. NCDOT may require further revisions, You are responsible to determine the NCDOT's requirements. If the NCDOT requires revisions, please send the Town revised drawings. 4. On Sheet C-5.0 and C-5.1 show the water main running parallel with the new commercial street to have an alternate bid pipe size of 16 inches (ductile iron pipe). If the Town Council decides to pay for the increase in material cost for the 16" DIP then it will already be permitted by Public Water Supply.
