Subject: RE: site visit to Lansing/Big Horse Creek
Hi Sue,
We have reviewed the additional materials. We appreciated visiting the site and talking over the design with
the staff at Foggy Mountain Nursery. Although they did make changes to the design based on our on-site
conversations and we appreciate this, we are still uneasy with the level of detail provided in the design. For a
site this large, we are more comfortable with plans that provide geographically referenced structures, include
longitudinal and cross-sectional information for both current and design conditions, and incorporate
morphological data. If the design is not informed by this level of detail, it may result in structures that do not
function as intended and channel instability.
