DENR-LAND QUAL)TY STORNWATER PERMITTING Subject: Valley Proteins, Inc. — Gastonia, NC Division Permit #NCG060000 Certificate of Coverage #NCG060173 Dear Mr. Bennett: For the month of January, the measurable rainfall that fell during daylight hours was contained and pumped to Waste Treatment from the 001 North Storm Water containment catch basin. Any additional rain that fell would have been at night, or weekends which -would have-madeaccess'to'the`storm water sampling -locations -a` - safety hazard for plant staff. The 002 South Storm Water containment pond remains far below discharge level. For these reasons there were no samples collected for the month. of January. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Mark Cassidy General Manager c: Bob Vogler, Director of Environmental.
