Subject:2 Perdue Pl Accessory Structure - NCWRC comments
Hi William,
I have reviewed the information sent to me on the 2 Perdue Place Accessory project, which proposes to culvert
30 feet of an unnamed tributary to Hominy Creek in Buncombe County,
Project activities should not impact trout and do not need to be avoided during the trout
moratorium. However, the project’s purpose is to increase buildable space partly due to stream buffer
protection requirements. Culverting the stream will negatively impact the stream more than encroaching on a
protected buffer. We recommend that the site design be reevaluated in order to avoid culverting the stream.
Thank you for the opportunity to review and comment on this project. Please contact me if you have any
questions about these comments or need further assistance.
Andrea
