Sodium hypochlorite is added pre and post filters and ammonia is added to the finished water before pumping to the distribution system. 8. Describe the wastewater and the treatment process(es) for wastewater generated by the facility: Backwash water is sent to the sludge holding lagoon. From the lagoon this water is sent to a clarifier for thickening and supernatant from the clarifier is de-chlorinated with Captor (Calcium Thiosulfate) before release to the receiving stream. 9.
