Avoidance and Minimization 1 a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project. The wetlands on the property are being avoided to the extent practical. The existing easement constrains the alignment of the access road to the project area. One of the wetlands areas is located at the intersection of the access easement and parcel's property lines. Acquiring additional easement for the project is not feasible and additional easement would likely not eliminate disturbance to the existing wetlands or intermittent stream. The road has been designed to minimize the temporary and permanent impacts to the wetland areas. 1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques. The area of disturbance has been minimized to the extent practical. Silt fence will be installed along the perimeter of the area of disturbance to prevent the migration of sediment into critical areas. 2.
