Dear Joshua Albertson:
The Division of Water Resources (Division) received your sludge survey information on
November 13, 2024. With the survey results, you requested an extension of the sludge survey
requirement for the two lagoons at Pine Tops Farm facility. For Lagoon#1, due to the amount of
treatment volume available, and the rate of sludge accumulation, the Division feels that an
extension is not appropriate for the lagoons at this facility. The next sludge survey for Lagoon
#1 at Test Farm Properties, LLC should be performed before December 31, 2025.
For Lagoon#2, due to the amounts of treatment volume available, the Division agrees that a
sludge survey is not needed until December 31, 2029. The next sludge survey for Lagoon#2 at
Pine Tops Farm should be performed before December 31, 2029. Please retain this letter and
keep it with your farm records for reference.
