Good morning Dale I looked into the line length discrepancy this morning. The lengths were updated to match the updated calcs from the LP designer. The designer made an adjustment in the reduction location from 3" ssfm to 2" ssfm. This resulted in the additional 2" ssfm..... Also, the additional 2" main is less than a +10%variance from the original permitted line length but we wanted to update the permit docs to match the updated calculations. Does this email response suffice to answer your inquiry, or do you need a hardcopy as well? I apologize for any confusion. Yes, please respond to the review question below. I recalled the original e-mail and then resubmitted it to everyone. In the original e-mail I sent to you, I had typed an incorrect e-mail address for Bill Pinnix. Again, I apologize for the confusion. Hi Dale Do we need to respond to this comment? We were a little confused since we also received a recall request. Just wanted to be sure we're not missing anything Thanks, Joseph Bland, PE NORRIS & BLAND - CONSULTING ENGINEERS, P.C. - 1429 Ash -Little River Road Ash, NC 28420 910-287-5900 (phone) 910-512-8148 (mobile) jbland nbengr.com It is the professional opinion of Norris & Bland Consulting Engineers, P.C. that this electronic information provides design information current as of the date of its release. Pinnix <william.pinnix _ brunswickcountync.gov> Subject: Brunswick County - Bland Road Tract Subdivision LPSS extension permit application WQ0044949 Modification A review of the application and supporting documents for the subject application has been completed in accordance with 15A NCAC 02T .0107. Please provide the additional or revised information for the following comments, in order for the office to complete the review: Then the original permit issued for the subject project approved 11,550 GPD based on 55 lots with 1,255 linear feet of 2-inch pressure sewer and 610 feet of 3-inch pressure sewer. The narrative letter and ASEA submitted for the proposed modification to the original permit indicates a reduction in the number of lots to be served by 6 lots for a revised total of 49 lots / simplex pump stations. Also, an equal reduction of 1,260 GPD for a revised total of 10,290 GPD in proposed sewer to be discharged to Brunswick County system. However, the narrative letter and the ASEA you submitted indicates a revised total length of 2-inch pressure sewer as 1,356 linear feet and 3-inch pressure sewer as 535 linear feet. Looking at the overall site plan for the subdivision you provided, it is not clear why the pipe lengths total 26 more feet. Please provide an explanation as why the proposed lengths are different than what was approved in the original permit and total 26 more feet of proposed pipeline, when the modification requested is to reduce the number of lots served in the subdivision.. A response to the above comments is considered required in order to proceed with the review of the application and issuance of the permit. If a complete response is not received within 30 days, the application and supporting documents will be returned to you in accordance with 15A NCAC 02T.0107(e)(2). Please feel free to provide digital copies of these revised documents and supporting information to me via email along with hardcopies via mail. Please let me know if you have any questions. Dale H.
