I. Public Notice; Isolated Individual Wetlands Permit for Novo Nordisk Bright Sky Project
Facility Expansion; DWR # 2007-0173; Clayton, Johnston County
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. (3612
Powhatan Road, Clayton, NC 27527) has applied to the North Carolina Division of Water
Resources (DWR) for an Isolated and Other Non -404 Jurisdictional Wetlands and Waters
Individual Permit pursuant to 15A NCAC 02H .1300. The activity for which this permit is
sought is to permanently impact 2.18 acres of isolated wetlands to construct a facility
expansion. The DWR must take final action on the Isolated Individual Permit application
prior to May 2, 2016.
The public is invited to comment in writing to the DWR on the application described
above. Comments should be mailed to NC DWR, Attn: Jennifer Burdette, 1617 Mail
Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27669-1617 or emailed to [e-mail].
Comments must be received by DWR no later than close of business on April 4, 2016.
This facility expansion will also permanently impact 5.32 acres of Section 404 jurisdictional
wetlands and 188 linear feet of jurisdictional stream. A public notice was issued by the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on January 6, 2016; the 401 Water Quality Certification was
issued on March 3, 2016.
