The Commerce Pump Station was originally designed as a triplex pump station, however, initially only 2 pumps were permitted for initial flows. This permit modification will provide for the addition of a third pump and increasing the station capacity from 0.3864 MGD to 1.2672 MGD (2-duty pumps, 1-standby). The downstream sewer (Permit WQ0040995) is sufficiently sized to accommodate the increase in capacity. The receiving WWTP is the Northeast Regional WWTF (Permit NC0086819). The major improvements to Commerce Pump Station as summarized below: 1. Add a third pump identical to the two existing pumps in the station. Minor piping modifications and wiring to integrate the new pump at the existing pump station. 2. Increase capacity from 805 GPM to 2,200 GPM. The downstream sewer (Permit WQ0040995) is sufficiently sized to accommodate the increase in capacity. The receiving WWTF is the Northeast Regional WWTF operating under Permit NC0086819.
