THIS DEED Made this 1,3 day of October, 1975, by and
between W. M. Gilchrist o:` Carteret County, North Carolina, party
of the first part and Howland Rock Property Owners, Inc., a North
Carolina non-profit corporation formed pursuant to Chapter 55-A
of the General Statutes of North Carolina, Carteret County, North
Carolina, party of the second part,
WITNESSETH:
That the said party of the first part, in consideration
of the sum of Ten ($10.00) Dollars and other valuable considera-
tions to him paid by the party of the second part, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold, and by these
presents does grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party
of the second part and its assigns, all of those tracts or parcels
of land, situate, lying and being in Howland Rock Subdivision in
Beaufort Township, Carteret County, North Carolina, and more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Parcel I:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot No. One (1)
in Block "E" in the east line of North Shore Road;
thence with said road line N26-05 W, 30.24 feet;
thence N 56-46 E, 248.83 feet to North River; thence
S 34-01 E, 30.0 feet; thence S 56-46 W, 253.0 feet
to .the point of beginning.
Parcel II:
Begi-'nning at the north corner of Lot No. Ong (1) in
Block "A" in the south line of East Howland Parkway;
thence with the south line of said road or Parkway
N 46-50 E, 30.0 feet to the west line of the "Lagoon";
thence with said "Lagoon" line S 39-31 E, 96.06 feet;
S 43-18 E, 68.64 feet; S 45-22 E, 266.63 feet to the
North line of North River; thence with said shore
line S 81-34 W, 40.81 feet; thence N 43-10 W, 407.0
feet to the point of beginning.

Beginning in the west line of North Shore Road, said
point being S 21-00 E, 205.0 feet .from the north
corner of Lot No. Seven (7) in Block "C" of Howland
Rock Subdivision; thence S 21-00 E, 177.0 feet; thence
N 77-30 E, 28.0 feet; thence S 25-54 W, 31.67 feet;
thence S 63-40 W, 50.13 feet; thence N 51-04 W, 47.63
feet; thence S 81-34 W, 40.81 feet; thence N 43-10 W,
407.0 feet to the south line of East Howland Parkway;
thence with said road or parkway line N 46-50 E,
30.0 feet to the west line of the "Lagoon"; thence
with said "Lagoon" line N 28-00 W, 96.57 feet; N 43-10 W,
148.0 feet; S 46-50 W, 30.0 feet; N 43-10 W, 40.0

Beginning at the east corner of Lot No. Two (2) ,
in Block "A" and the west line of Howland Parkway,;
thence with the west line of Howland Parkway,
N 43-10 W, 60.0 feet; thence N 46-50 E, 200.0 feet;
thence S 43-10 E, 60.0 feet; thence S 46-10'W,
200.0 feet to the beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE aforesaid tracts orparcels of
land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging
unto the said party of the second part, and its assigns, to its
only use and behoof forever.
And the party of the first part, for himself, his heirs
executors and administrators, covenants with the party of the
second part, and its assigns, that he is seized of said premises
in fee and has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that
the same are free and clear from all encumbrances and that he wit
warrant and defend the said title to the same against the lawful
claims of all persons whomsoever.

these presents has hereunto set his hand and seal, the day and
year first above written.
