The goal of this project is to connect the existing Bobcat facility, located on US Highway 421, to the CFPUA infrastructure constructed along this highway since the opening of Bobcat. This project will use a duplex grinder pump station and approximately 150 linear feet of 2-inch forcemain to replace the existing onsite septic system and tie to a commercial sewer tap in the eastern shoulder of US 421. The facility will purchase and maintain, onsite, a devoted, portable generator matched to the pump station requirements for emergency power. Enclosed for your review is the FTA 10-23 and the FTSE, as provided by CFPUA. Project Summary: This project serves to abandon the existing onsite septic system in accordance with Environmental Health standards and redirect the effluent from the facility to a new grinder pump station and the CFUPA treatment system. Anticipated Wastewater Flows: The existing septic permit(enclosed for reference) details permitted daily flow for the site. Design of this grinder system is focused on resuspension of solids within the 2-inch forcemain and, pump capacity is dictated by the flow rate necessary to achieve this, approximately 4.5 ft/s. In addition to existing daily flows from the septic system, the owner may tie an existing equipment washdown to the grinder station in the future. This washdown currently uses recycled water and will require local approval by the CFPUA. As noted, the governing paramenter for the grinder pump flowrate is respuspension of solids. The associated flowrate will accommodate both the septic flow and washdown flow without any change in capacity. For this reason, no additional permitting should be required for either scenario. 2 of 2 Design Flow Rate: The design flow-rate is, 1,375 GPD. Items Included in Submittal: • Cover Letter • Fast Track Applications • FTSE • Project Specifications • Project Plans No Variance is requested for this project.
