The Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources(DEMLR)has reviewed your submittal of the No
Exposure Certification for Exclusion from NPDES Stormwater Permitting form,received on September
18, 2024. The Division is unable to concur with your certification of no exposure.
Based on an inspection of your facility on October 24,2024, Mooresville Regional Office staff found that
raw materials such as metal shavings were located outside uncovered on plastic pallets. The Division
cannot grant your requested exemption from permit coverage when raw materials are exposed or have the
potential to be exposed. Please continue to operate under NPDES Stormwater Certificate of Coverage
number NCG030535. Information can be found at deq.nc.gov/S W-industrial.
