Dear Mr. Eplin:
On behalf of Darnel, Inc. (Darnel), please find attached the results of stormwater outfall sampling
that was conducted on September 16, 2024, for the Darnel, Inc. facility in Monroe, Union County,
North Carolina. Water samples were collected from the outfalls SDO-1, SDO-2, SDO-3 and SDO-4 by
GRI personnel on September 16, 2024, in accordance with the sampling requirements of the permit
and the updated SWPPP. Water samples were measured on-site for pH and then submitted for
laboratory analysis of total suspended solids (TSS), chemical oxygen demand (COD), and non-polar
oil and grease. The September 2024 sampling results indicated that there were no exceedances of
pH, TSS, COD, or non-polar oil and grease in any of the four outfalls. A Site Map displaying the
locations of the SDOs is presented as Figure 1. The Stormwater Discharge Outfall Monitoring Report
is included in Appendix A, the Stormwater Discharge Outfall Qualitative Monitoring Report is
included in Appendix B, and a complete laboratory analytical report is included as Appendix C.
The next quarterly sampling event is scheduled to be conducted between October through
December 2024 during a representative rainfall event. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (704)
845-4010, if you have any questions or comments.

All permits require qualitative monitoring to be performed during a"measurable storm event."
A"measurable storm event"is a storm event that results in an actual discharge from the permitted site
outfall. The previous measurable storm event must have been at least 72 hours prior. The 72-hour storm
interval does not apply if the permittee is able to document that a shorter interval is representative for
local storm events during the sampling period, and the permittee obtains approval from the local DEMLR

Dear Eric Eubanks:
Waypoint Analytical, LLC (Charlotte) received sample(s) on 9/16/2024 for the analyses presented in the
following report.
The above referenced project has been analyzed per your instructions. The analyses were performed in
accordance with the applicable analytical method.
The analytical data has been validated using standard quality control measures performed as required by the
analytical method. Quality Assurance, method validations, instrumentation maintenance and calibration for all
parameters were performed in accordance with guidelines established by the USEPA(including 40 CFR 136
Method Update Rule May 2021) unless otherwise indicated.
Certain parameters (chlorine, pH, dissolved oxygen, sulfite...) are required to be analyzed within 15 minutes of
sampling. Usually, but not always, any field parameter analyzed at the laboratory is outside of this holding time.
Refer to sample analysis time for confirmation of holding time compliance.
The results are shown on the attached Report of Analysis(s). Results for solid matrices are reported on an as-
received basis unless otherwise indicated. This report shall not be reproduced except in full and relates only to
the samples included in this report.
Please do not hesitate to contact me or client services if you have any questions or need additional information.
