STANDARD SIGN COLORS: BACKGROUND - | WHITE,LET7B�N�/BOH0ER - GREEN, FIGURE ' | - VYH|TE �N BLUE FIELD. / � � � � ____06 � � � MEMORANDUM TO: Anthony Scarbraugh, DWR Water Quality Regional THROUGH: Jonathan Howell Operations Section Washington Regional office FROM: Devin Dart WO DATE: 26 January 2016 SUBJECT: Modification of CAMA Permit No. 02-08 issued to Waterside Acquisitions Partners LLC, near Roper Washington County, Albemarle Sound CAMA Major Permit No. 2-08 was issued to Waterside at the Point LLC to construct 7 condominiums. 21 town homes, 75 single family homes, a 12ft x 25ft boat ramp with two 25ft rip rap groins and 5ft x 40 launch pier, a Eft x 85ft pier with a 6ft x 26ft t -head with four 2ft x 1Oft finger pier to create 10 boat slips, and rip rap 973feet of shoreline. This permit was modified on 22 January 2009 to include 19 additional 25ft long wood or vinyl groins. This modification had an expiration date of 31 December 2011. Due to the Session Law 2009-406 the permit expiration date was extended to 21 December 2015. On 30 June 2014 the permit was transferred to Waterside Acquisition Partners, LLC. At this time the shoreline is stabilized with rip rap and several groins, the condominiums are built, the road infrastructure has been put in place, the piers have been constructed. The boat ramp was built but severely damaged and is no longer present. On 21 January 2016, the Washington District received a request to modify Major Permit No. 02-08. `The applicant is requesting to add an additional 185ft x Eft pier with a 36ft x 12ft covered platform for fishing, birdwatching and other general use. The permit holder is also requesting to extend the previously permitted boatramp launching pier by adding two sections (3011 x Eft and Eft x Eft} to accommodate the launch and recovery of kayaks and canoes.
