Your written comments are welcome, but not mandatory. Changes to the Previous Permit [see Fact Sheet - Renewal Summary]. Based on revised EPA surface water-quality standards, DWR has replaced monitoring for Phenol [single compound] with Total Recoverable Phenolics [32730]. This is now required of all discharges to Water Supply (WS) waters. John Skvarla, III Secretary 1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-1617 Location: 512 N. The dikes are equipped with drain pipes controlled by hand-operated valves, normally closed. This controlled discharge constitutes a point source to the environment. Because this facility stores fuel hydrocarbons in above- ground storage tanks (ASTs) and in proximity to appurtenant piping, surface storage in excess of one (1) million gallons, the facility is specifically excluded from coverage under North Carolina stormwater regulations.
