Please let me know if you need anything further. Sincerely, Justin Milstein -----Original Message ----- From: Bailey, David E SAW[mailto:David.E.Bailey2@usace.army.mil] Sent: Tuesday, January 19, 2016 3:08 PM To: Justin Milstein <Justin.Milstein@timmons.com> Cc: Homewood, Sue <sue.homewood@ncdenr.gov> Subject: Crosslink Community Church PCN, Mebane, Alamance Co.; SAW -2016-00108 (UNCLASSIFIED) CLASSIFICATION: UNCLASSIFIED Justin, Thanks for your PCN and attached plans dated 1/6/2016, received 1/11/2016 via email, for the above referenced project. I have reviewed the information and need clarification of the following before proceeding with verifying the use of a Nationwide Permit: 1) Note that the Nationwide Permit number appropriate for this project is NWP 39 (see PCN section A.1b.); 2) Please update the plan sheets to show the post -verification site visit location of waters of the US, including wetland line Z; 3) Please update the plan sheets to show the extent of the proposed temporary impacts to the stream. Note, if this area is within the footprint of the proposed rip rap dissipater pad, it should not be double counted as a temporary impact (update the PCN accordingly); 4) Please include a profile view of the proposed crossing. The culvert pipe need not be buried, as it connects directly with an upstream dam; however, the pipe should be set flush with existing stream grade. Also, rip rap pads at the outlet of culvert pipes are often set such that the top of the rip rap is no higher than the stream bed grade and elevation; the profile plans should reflect this, unless otherwise explained as not practicable; 5) Please clearly show the extent of the existing culvert pipe and fill on the plans, as this footprint would not be considered a regulated impact, update the PCN accordingly. Please submit the above information (via e-mail is fine) within 30 days of receipt of this Notification, otherwise we may consider your application withdrawn and close the file. If you have any questions please let me know. Sincerely, Dave Bailey David E. February 16, 2016 Mr. David Bailey US Army Corps of Engineers 3331 Heritage Trade Drive Suite 105 Wake Forest, NC 27587 0 N RE: Crosslink Community Church - Response to Clarification Request u Mebane, North Carolina (Alamance County): SAW -2016-00108 z 0) Q) Dear Mr. Bailey: The following information is provided in response to your request for clarification and o additional information dated January 19, 2016 regarding the Crosslink Community Church PCN. 1. Note that the Nationwide Permit number appropriate for this project is NWP 39 (see PCN section A.1b.). T PCNApplication has been updated to reflect NWP 39. L 2. Please update the plan sheets to show the post -verification site visit location of waters of the US, including wetland line Z. Ln Existing conditions plan sheet has been updated to include all post -verification locations of waters of the US, including wetland Z. 3. Please update the plan sheets to show the extent of the proposed temporary impacts to the stream. Note, if this area is within the footprint of the proposed rip rap dissipater pad, it should not be double counted as a temporary impact (update the PCN accordingly). Plan sheets have been updated to show the extent of the proposed temporary impacts to the stream. 4. Please include a profile view of the proposed crossing. The culvert pipe need not be buried, as it connects directly with an upstream dam; however, the pipe should be set flush with existing stream grade. Also, rip rap pads at the outlet of culvert pipes are often set such that the top of the rip rap is no higher than the stream bed grade and elevation; the profile plans should reflect this, unless otherwise explained as not practicable. Profile view of the proposed crossing included on impact sheet. Please note that the upstream invert of the 42 " culvert will need to remain buried 6 inches in order to ensure proper cover. Please clearly show the extent of the existing culvert pipe and fill on the plans, as this footprint would not be considered a regulated impact; update the PCN accordingly. Extent of the existing culvert pipe and fill are shown on the plans and the PCN has been updated to exclude existing culvert impacts that would not be considered a regulated impact.
