(via electronic mail: timasciagdavey.com ) Re: Dutch Farms Mitigation Banking Instrument (MBI) Dutch Farms Bank Parcel Credit Release — Task 2 Dear Mr. Mascia: DWR Project #: 2021-1422 Guilford County On April 4, 2024, the Division of Water Resources (DWR) received documentation from Davey Resource Group, Inc. (Davey) that the subject site had been constructed in its entirety and monitoring plots had been installed. On April 17, 2024, Blake Hartshorn with DWR, with assistance from staff with Davey, inspected the site and confirmed that most of the subject site had been completely planted, all monitoring plots were installed, and all stream mitigation activities appeared to be completed. All riparian areas, including the stream banks, were seeded and stabilized. Any required fencing was installed and the conservation easement was adequately marked. Supplemental planting efforts were deemed necessary in some areas and has now been completed. DWR received a performance bond (#K41613610) issued to Davey from Federal Insurance Company, in the amount of $150,000, to cover performance obligations for the construction of the subject site. The terms of this bond will terminate upon approval of the As -Built and Baseline Monitoring Report by the DWR. Therefore, the total amounts of delivered nutrient offset credits for this site are 129.431 lb-N and 3.862 lb-P. Additionally, riparian buffer credits can only be used to offset impacts located in the Haw River Sub Watershed of Jordan Lake according to 15A NCAC 02B .0295, which became effective on November 1, 2015.
