The total amount of sludge wasted to the Aeration Basin #1 between July 13, 2007 and August 24, 2007 is approximately 147.8 dry tons. Funds in the amount of $750,000 have been budgeted and are currently available in the Enterprise Fund for this project. Approximately 1600 dry tons of residuals are generated annually by the Triangle Wastewater Treatment Plant TWWTP) at current plant loading rates. In accordance with County of Durham provisions for proposals, the project was nubliclv adve^sed on July 11 2007 and mailed to interested vendors. Proposals were received on August 9 2007 and a summary sheet is attached for the following companies: ’ • Bio-Nomic Services, Inc. • Creative Waste Management • Porter Scientific • Synagro • Terra Renewal Services, Inc.. • Wulfekuhle Injection & Pumping Inc. The review team consisted of Jacqueline Boyce, Durham County Purchasing Division Manager- Pete Corsaro United Water TWWTP Project Manager; Joseph Pearce, Interim Utility Division Manager; Andy Lambeth, Utility Division Project Manager; and Richard Simms, Utility Division roject Manager. The evaluation is based on price, specific plans/methodology, experience qualifications, history/background, financial stability, references, litigation/conflict of interest and compliance with the Durham County Living Wage policy and MWBE requirements ’ recommendation is that the work be awarded to Bio-Nomic Services, Inc. based on these criteria The goals for MWBE participation were 13 percent for other professional services and 6 97 percent for purchasing.
