PROJECT NARRATIVE
GE - SUBSTATION GUARD HOUSE
WILMINGTON, NC
May 8, 2007
The address of the site is 3901 Castle Hayne Road, Wilmington, NC. The General Electric
site encompasses approximately 1,621 acres. This project is a new project that is not in
close proximity to an existing project at GE This project involves replacing and existing
guard house with a larger one (112 sf) and adding three parking spaces. Water and sewer
services are going to be extended to the guard house. This project only disturbs
approximately 0.40 acres and is being submitted to NCDWQ due to New Hanover County
required a Sediment & Erosion Control Permit. This project increases the impervious area
only 700 sf. Based on the project disturbed limits being 0.40 acres, the % impervious is
only 4.0%. Therefore, we are submitting for a Low Density Permit.
