On January 28, 2015, the North Carolina Division of Water Resources Underground Injection Control Program (UIC
Program) received your request to rescind permit W10500329 for injection activities at the Peden Family, LLC Incident No.
21567 located at 1859 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27629.
The UIC Program has reviewed your request and has determined that the information provided to date is sufficient for
completing the monitoring and compliance reporting requirements of the permit. Therefore, the permit has been closed.
Please note that any other compliance monitoring or reporting for any other regulatory agency shall continue as required.
If you wish to conduct future injection operations, you must first apply for and receive a new injection well permit. The
injection well permit application, well construction/abandonment forms, and other UIC-related forms can be downloaded
from the UIC Program's website at (https://www.deg.nc.gov/about/divisions/water-resources/groundwater-
resources/forms-permit-application-tracking). Operating an injection well without a valid permit could result in a civil
penalty of up to $25,000 per day.

UST Section doesn't have any reason to keep the permit open. The site transitioned into Brownfields as the UST

This site was not in the State Lead Program but was responsible party lead and it was closed back in 2022 with a
notice of residual petroleum with groundwater and soil restrictions. I have copied the Raleigh Regional Supervisor
since his office was handling the site but since it is closed I see no reason why the UIC permit could not be closed
as well.
