Notification of Benchmark Exceedance:
Description: Notification to DEMLR of single benchmark exceedance for quantitative monitoring during the 3rd Quarter
sampling event on 9/17/2024. Sampling results were received on 9/30/24.
Facility information: Shurtape Technologies—Highland (1540 Main Avenue, SE, Hickory, NC 28602)
Permit No. NCG050292
Outfall and benchmark parameter for exceedance: Outfall 2 for pH was 5.32, versus a benchmark range of 6- 9.
Response:The facility is following the Tier One response for Outfall 2 to identify and address the source of the
exceedance for pH.
