Aqua North Carolina, Inc. (Aqua) offersthe following response to the above -referenced Notice of Violation
for Nitrogen, Ammonia Total (as N) daily and monthly exceedance and pH frequency violation, found in
the March 2024 Non -Discharge Monitoring Report.
Agua's Response:
In reference to the above NOV for the Ammonia exceedance, staff investigated the plant process and could
not determine a root cause for this excursion. All additional sampling has been within compliance.
The pH reading was recorded the day in question but was unintentionally left off the non -discharge
monitoring report. The pH reading of 7.6 was documented on 3/18/24 in the logbook at the WWTP.
Attached please find the March 2024 revised NDMR which was mailed into the State on 9/12/24. Aqua
respectfully requests that the monitoring frequency violation for the pH reading be rescinded.
