Mr. Barnes,
I have assisted Mr. Jerry Bowman, owner of 1314 Canterbury Trail, Asheboro, NC, with effluent monitoring of the
wastewater system serving his residence. Since May 30, 2023, multiple observations have been made at this property with
the intention of collecting a wastewater sample for analysis to comply with permit requirements. During each visit,
wastewater flow was not observed from the discharge pipe that empties into the concrete vault just downstream of the
chlorinator port. Additionally, no surfacing sewage was observed between the septic tank and the discharge point.
Given the low wastewater flow generated with only two permanent residents, the subsurface sand filter appears to be
providing adequate treatment to allow infiltration between the septic tank and the discharge point.
We will continue to monitor this system as required and will collect wastewater samples when wastewater flow is observed.
It is respectfully requested that this report be received in lieu of wastewater sample data to show this system complies with
permit requirements.
