The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project. Additional Information Requested: 1. Major Water Supply Watershed Variance Request (Case #WSVOS-OS) We have been advised that your request for a major watershed variance to disturb 550 feet of stream buffers will be heard in a public hearing before the High Point City Council on August 15, 2005. If the request is approved by the High Point City Council, you will then need to proceed to review by the NC Environmental Management Commission (EMC). We understand that you hope to have your case reviewed during the EMC session scheduled for September 7, 2005. Please note that the 401 Water Quality Certification cannot be issued until the variance is approved by the EMC. Until that time, your application for 401 Certification will remain on hold, and we will reactivate your project upon issuance of the variance. If the variance is not approved by the City of High Point or the EMC, you will need to update your application materials to reflect design and impact changes which may have been incorporated into your project. 401 Ovcrsight/Express Review Permitting Unit 1650 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-1650 2321 Crabtree Boulevard, Suite 250, Raleigh, North Carolina 27604 Phone: 919-733-1786 /FAX 919-733-6893 / Internet: http:%'h2acnr.statc.nc.u~;ncwetlands None Carolina ~frrra!!~ An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - 50% Recycled/10% Post Consumer Paper
