Dear Mr. Weaver,
Darling Ingredients, Inc - Gastonia Station hereby requests rescission of General Permit NCG500000,
Certificate of Coverage No. NCG500372. The facility ceased rendering operations in 2019. DEQ
conducted a site visit on September 11, 2024, confirming that operations had ceased and that all non-
contact cooling equipment had been removed from the site. It was our intent to let the permit expire
following the cessation of the rendering operations, however it was automatically renewed in 2022.
