Per 15A NCAC 02T.0105(c)(6), directly related environmental permits or certification applications must be being prepared,
have been applied for, or have been obtained. Issuance of this permit is contingent on issuance of dependent permits (erosion
and sedimentation control plans, stormwater management plans, etc.).

Per 15A NCAC 02T.04021 "high -priority sewer" means any aerial sewer, sewer contacting surface waters,
siphon, or sewers positioned parallel to streambanks that are subject to erosion that undermines or deteriorates the sewer.
Siphons and sewers suspended through interference/conflict boxes require a variance approval.

High priority lines shall be inspected by the permittee or its representative at least once every six -months and
inspections documented per 15A NCAC 02T.0403(a)(5) or the permittee's individual System -Wide Collection permit.

NARRATIVE
TOWN OF RAMSEUR
RAMSEUR MAIN PS FORCE MAIN & TUBE PS REPLACEMENT
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
Location of Project
The project is located in Ramseur, Randolph County. The project will involve the installation of a new 12-
inch force main that will be Horizontally Directionally Drilled under the Deep River from the Main PS to the
west side where it will reconnect to the existing force main. The new force main will run parallel to existing
8" force main, which will be abandoned and grouted. The project also includes installation of a new 200
GPM sewer lift station to replace the existing "Tube" (west side) sewer lift station. The new Tube PS will tie
into existing 6" force main that conveys to the WWTP. Existing Tube pump station and (1) bypass manhole
will be demolished.
Existing permit includes the system wide collection system permit, which will remain unchanged other than
the items mentioned in this description.
