Salisbury Street Office 640-E Raleigh, NC 27604 Re: Stormwater Management "Drake Road" Reviewer(s): Please find the following responses to clarify action taken by the Engineer in answer to comments generated by the Intake Reviewer(s) in an email dated:August 23, 2024. Comment#1 — 2x hard copies of the Application with the following corrections made (these items are required per 15A NCAC 02H.1042(2)(a)and per Section VI, 1 of the Application): •Section IV, 10— There are inconsistencies with the amount ofproposed impervious area between the two tables. Please revise as necessary. Response#1 —The offsite impervious area was mistakenly excluded from the lower section of the data table. That has been revised and added into the table to provide consistency. Comment #2 — 2x signed & sealed hard copies of a plan sheet showing the following corrected additions: •Existing site conditions. This item is required per Section VI, 8k&8n of the Application and 15A NCAC 02H.1042(2)(g)(v). •Surface water area delineation. This item is required per 15A NCAC 02H .1042(2)(g)(iii). (application indicates surface waters) • Vegetated setback from surface waters. This item is required per 15A NCAC 02H.1042(2)(g)&Section VI, 8p of the Application. Vegetated setbacks are required from all surface waters (more information can be found in 15A NCAC 02H.1003(4) &.1017(10)). • Wetland delineation or a note on the plans stating that there are no wetlands located on-site. This item is required per 15A NCAC 02H .1042(2)(g)(iii) &Section VI, 8m of the Application. Please also list the name of the individual that made this determination in a note on the plans. Jones Civil Design, P.C. Responses to Comments Drake Road Page 1 Response#2—An "existing conditions" sheet has been added to the plans. See Sheet C4.0 of the attached, revised planset. The "surface water" previously referenced was for the proposed stormwater wetland. However, that reference has been removed to eliminate confusion. There are no surface waters and, thus, no vegetated buffers. Moreover, a note about the absence of surface water has been added, as determined by the Engineer-of-Record, and provided on Sheet C4.0, C4.1, and C4.2 of the revised planset. After reviewing these responses, please advise if you have questions or require additional information. Cordially, C. Matthew J es, M.A.,P.E. Principal Engineer JONES CIVIL DESIGN, P.C.
