UTILITY NOTES
1. ALL MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION METHODS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY OF SANFORD
DESIGN STANDARDS, DETAILS & SPECIFICATIONS.
2. UTILITY SEPARATION REQUIREMENTS:
A. A DISTANCE OF 100' SHALL BE MAINTAINED BETWEEN SANITARY SEWER & ANY PRIVATE OR
PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY SOURCE SUCH AS AN IMPOUNDED RESERVOIR USED AS A SOURCE OF
DRINKING WATER. IF ADEQUATE LATERAL SEPARATION CANNOT BE ACHIEVED, FERROUS
SANITARY SEWER PIPE SHALL BE SPECIFIED & INSTALLED TO WATERLINE SPECIFICATIONS.
HOWEVER, THE MINIMUM SEPARATION SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 25FROM A PRIVATE WELL OR
50' FROM A PUBLIC WELL.
B. WHEN INSTALLING WATER &/OR SEWER MAINS, THE HORIZONTAL SEPARATION BETWEEN
UTILITIES SHALL BE 10'. IF THIS SEPARATION CANNOT BE MAINTAINED DUE TO EXISTING
CONDITIONS, THE VARIATION ALLOWED IS THE WATER MAIN IN A SEPARATE TRENCH WITH THE
ELEVATION OF THE WATER MAIN AT LEAST 18" ABOVE THE TOP OF THE SEWER & MUST BE

PRECEDED BY A 24 HOUR ADVANCE NOTICE TO THE CITY OF SANFORD PUBLIC UTILITIES
DEPARTMENT.
4. IT IS THE DEVELOPER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ABANDON OR REMOVE EXISTING WATER & SEWER
SERVICES NOT BEING USED IN REDEVELOPMENT OF A SITE UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY THE
CITY OF SANFORD PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPARTMENT.
5. ALL UTILITY CROSSING ELEVATION CALLOUTS ARE APPROXIMATE AND SHOULD BE FIELD VERIFIED
BY THE CONTRACTOR. ENSURE MINIMUM VERTICAL SEPARATIONS ARE MET.
6. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE UTILITY TRENCHING AND INSTALLATION WITH OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE TO ENSURE MINIMAL INTERRUPTION TO TRUCK DELIVERIES TO EXISTING
TENANTS.
7. NCDOT ENCROACHMENT AGREEMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ANY UTILITY WORK (INCLUDING MAIN
EXTENSIONS & SERVICE TAPS) WITHIN STATE ROW PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
8. UNDERGROUND UTILITY LOCATIONS SHOWN ARE TO STANDARD OF ACCURACY BASED ON UTILITY
MARKOUT METHOD NOTED IN SURVEY. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD VERIFYING
CONSTRUCTION OF RELATED ADJACENT INFRASTRUCTURE.
9. CONTRACTOR TO REPLACE EXISTING FORCE MAIN BUT WILL UTILIZE THE EXISTING SLEEVE UNDER
CENTER CHURCH ROAD IF IN GOOD CONDITION. EXISTING SLEEVE MUST BE INSPECTED BY
CONTRACTORS. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE REPORTS TO ARISTA AND SHEETZ. IF FOUND
UNSATISFACTORY, THE REPAIRS WILL BE COMPLETED BEFORE PAD ACCEPTANCE BY SHEETZ.

PUMP STATION NOTES
1. THIS PUMP STATION IS DESIGNED FOR 2,000 GALLONS PER DAY (GPD) AVERAGE FLOWS. A 2.50 PEAKING
FACTOR HAS BEEN APPLIED, RESULTING IN AN ESTIMATED 4.0 GALLONS PER MINUTE (GPM) PEAK
INFLUENT RATE. WITH A TOTAL DYNAMIC HEAD (TDH) OF 31-FT, THE SYSTEM WILL OPERATE AT 14 GPM.
2. 24-HOUR STORAGE WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A 2,500 GALLON TANK TO ALLOW FOR PUMP AND HAUL IN
THE EVENT OF A BLOCKAGE IN THE FORCE MAIN OR DOWNSTREAM SEWER. PABST DESIGN GROUP IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN OF THE STORAGE TANK. REFER TO THEIR LATEST PLAN SET FOR EXACT
INVERTS & VAULT DIMENSIONS.
3. ALL PUMP STATION COMPONENTS SHALL BE SUPPLIED BY ENVIRONMENT ONE (OR APPROVED EQUAL).
4. ALL ABOVE GRADE ENCLOSURES INSTALLED SHALL BE PAD LOCKABLE AND NEMA 4X.
5. ALL WIRE INSTALLED SHALL BE COPPER.
6. ALL LOCATIONS WHERE PIPES ENTER OR LEAVE THE WET WELL OR VAULT SHALL BE MADE
WATERTIGHT WITH ALL SLEEVE OR NON -SHRINK GROUT.
7. SENTRY ADVISOR T260 DUPLEX AND SENTRY PROTECT PLUS DUPLEX SHALL BE COMBINED INTO ONE
PANEL. MANUFACTURER'S PANEL SHALL INCLUDE A GENERATOR CONNECTION, MANUAL TRANSFER
SWITCH, AND CELLULAR MODEM SENTRY ADVISOR T260 DUPLEX.
8. THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING FM SLEEVE & CROSSING IS AN APPROXIMATION AND WAS DRAWN PER
VIDEO INSPECTION PROVIDED BY PIPETECHS PLUMBING ON 10/24/22 & 11/10/22.
9. CONTRACTOR TO FIELD VERIFY EXISTING SLEEVE UNDER CENTER CHURCH RD.
10. EXISTING SLEEVE MUST BE INSPECTED BY CONTRACTOR. REUSE SLEEVE IF IN GOOD CONDITION.
CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE REPORTS TO ARISTA AND SHEETZ. IF FOUND UNSATISFACTORY, THE
REPAIRS WILL BE COMPLETE BEFORE PAD ACCEPTANCE BY SHEETZ.
