You are receiving this letter because your residence or business has a wastewater system that discharges to surface water.
The Division of Water Resources, Asheville Regional Office, would like to schedule an inspection to determine if your system i s
operating in compliance with your NCG550000 General NPDES permit on or before September 30, 2024. Please note that if
a response to this letter is not received by September 2, 2024, a site inspection will be performed at the discretion of our
office. An on-site visit to visually inspect your system is necessary to ensure system compliance. Please note, you will not need
to be present for the on-site portion and if you are present, interaction with the inspector is not necessary. The inspector will
attempt to contact you following the on-site portion of the inspection to address any additional questions.

Please be prepared to answer following questions regarding your system:

 Is access to the discharge pipe maintained? Does the system discharge regularly?
 If your system discharges, do you have annual sampling records?
 Do you annually inspect the septic tank? Has it been pumped in the past five years?
