Subject: rescission of NCG500267
Importance: High
The Division received your request to rescind the subject Certificate of Coverage (CoC) under General Permit
NCG500000. We do not object to this request.
Pursuant to approval of this action by the Winston-Salem Regional Office, NPDES CoC NCG500267 is hereby rescinded,
effective immediately. This message is to close the permit file for the Division, and for your records.
If in the future you wish to discharge wastewater to the State's surface waters, you must first apply for and receive a
new NPDES permit.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, simply reply to this message.
PLEASE NOTE: as part of the Division's conversion to paperless communication, this email is the only notification you will
be sent regarding the CoC rescission. No hard copy will be mailed.

RE: [External] Re: NCG500267_Annual Fee -Past Due - rescind?
Hey Charles,
WSRO staff person Michael Gearren visited this site today and confirmed that former operations have shut down, and
there is no boiler blowdown. We are ok with rescission. I asked Michael to document his site visit in BIMS. What else
shall we do at this point?
Thanks!

Charles, I prefer to have a confirmation that the discharge has ceased, but sometimes that is hard. But I will see if
anyone here could do a quick drive by if they are in area. Hold off on this for a moment and I will be in touch!

Jenny — this facility is in Ashe County. It was last inspected in 2019, before shutting down boiler operations.
Can this one be rescinded?
As always, thanks for your help!

Wren -
We ceased wood processing and any boiler operations at this facility on August 31, 2022.
How should we proceed?
Thanks,

To whom it may concern,
Attached are past due annual fee invoices for Cobble Creek Lumber, LLC. I apologize if the original invoice
never reached you.
This annual fee is required by the North Carolina Administrative Code. It covers the administrative costs
associated with your permit. It is required of any person holding a permit for any time during the annual fee
period, regardless of the facility's operation status.
Failure to pay the fee by the due date will subject the permit to revocation. Operating without a valid permit
is a violation and is subject to a $10,000 per day fine. If the permit is revoked and you later decide a permit is
needed, you must reapply, with the understanding the permit request may be denied due to changes in
environmental, regulatory, or modeling conditions.
You may pay either by mail with a check/money order or using ePayments.
If payment is by check/money order, please remit payment to the address listed below.
