APPROVAL OF REVISED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
Dear Mr. Pulliam:
On July 6, 2007, the Division of Water Quality issued a 401 Certification for this project to place
fill within or otherwise impact 0.002 acres of 404/wetland and 229 linear feet of perennial stream
for the purpose of constructing the Weirbridge Village project in Asheville, NC. As a part of the
issuance of the 401 Certification, the DWQ approved a stormwater management plan for the
Weirbridge Village project.
On August 20, 2007, the DWQ received a revised stormwater management plan for Outlot
Number One: Southern Community Bank. On December 3, 2007, the DWQ received a second
revised stonnwater plan for this property. The DWQ has reviewed the second revised
stormwater management plan and has determined that it satisfies the stormwater management
conditions of the 401 Water Quality Certification for the Weirbridge Village project.
The structural stormwater practices as approved by DWQ as well as drainage patterns must be
maintained in perpetuity. No changes to the structural stormwater practices shall be made
without written authorization from the Division of Water Quality. Stormwater easements shall
be recorded for a distance of at least 10 feet on each side of all stormwater conveyances on all
lots containing these structures including future access for maintenance. The stormwater
easements shall allow for the ability to maintain the structures, perform corrective actions as
described above and shall provide protection of the structures from potential alternations by
future property owners.
This letter completes the review of the Division of Water Quality under Section 401 of the Clean
