Requesting new discharging system to accommodate existing and new flow. Other: Subsurface sandfilter system previously permitted by Durham County is no longer permitted. Currently operating as an illict discharge without a valid permit. Possible alternatives: spray irrigation sewer subsurface discharge none other Describe alternatives: n/a Approximate location of proposed/new outfall(s): Latitude 350 59' 10.53" N Longitude 780 49' 59.96" W Describe the outfall point in detail using information from the application and site visit. The outfall will be located at the approximated location above, which is near the boundary with the north adjacent property, 206 Breedlove Ave. Permissions, easements, and/or right of way agreements may be necessary if entire system and outfall are not located within applicant's property. Proposed outfall will be at the top of bank with rip rap stabilization/aeration before entering a defined surface water drainage channel. The drainage channel (ditch) runs northeast through a residential area before it enters an unnamed tributary to Little Lick Creek. Outfall drains to: River Basin Neuse Receiving Stream Little Lick Creek Sub -basin NEU01 (03-04-01) Stream Classification WS-IV;NSW Stream Index 27-9-(0.5) Review Special Conditions/suggested changes/additional information needed/setback violations: Applicant will need to evaluate existing subsurface sandfilter system to determine type, location, functionality, and condition of all components. May need to replace and/or add components such as disinfection and/or dechlorination to be eligible for coverage under NCG550000. RO Recommendation The RRO does not object to the issuance of a certificate of coverage under general permit NCG550000 (single family residence) for the proposed project in accordance with current NPDES wastewater discharge permitting program policy.
