the intersection of Iotla Street to NC28 in Macon County. TIP R-2408A
NCDOT Division 14. Federal Project No. STP-28(1), State Project No.
8.1970801.
Reference: NCDOT Permit Application dated September 10, 2007.
NCDOT Amendment to Permit Application dated October 5, 2007.
Please reference the previous permit application and amendment. Per our conversation
on December 4, 2007, attached is the requested information regarding the utility conflicts
with this project. It has been discovered that the placement of a new pipe at Site 3
(13+23-Y-1) will conflict with the current sewer line at this location (Sheet 2U).
Utility Impact
Site 3 (13+ 23-Y-1)
The existing 8-inch sewer line currently lies within the footprint of the proposed 73-inch x
55-inch pipe to be placed on NC 28 at Site 3 (Sheet 11 of 13 in Permit Drawings)(Sheet 3U).
The sewer line will be relocated slightly downstream and away from the pipe. There will be
0.002 acre of temporary impact due to the relocation of the 8-inch sewer line to UT 2. The
new sewer line will be buried beneath the substrate of the stream.
All other conditions from the previously submitted permit applications (see reference above)
remain valid for this project.
