Also, in the sketch that you provided, measurements were included for rip rap that made me think that
you were requested maintenance to the shoreline rip rap. Please do not include this information on
future dredge applications, or you can label it as pre-exisiting so I know that you are not requesting to
add more rip rap. Please redo the sketch to show only the dredge and the measurements for the dredge.
Please provide me the above requested information at your earliest convenience. Your project will
remain ON -HOLD until DWR has received complete information.

Reading this to Randy, he assumed since the shoreline stabilization (rip rap) has existed for
many years ago that there is no additional disturbance to the shoreline with this application. The

scope of work for this application is to remove sediment that has filled an existing dredge cut under
and around an existing floating dock.
If his assumption is incorrect then your calculations are correct.
You are correct 31 X55 = 1705 sq ft
rip rap below full pond/NPL is 3x250= 750 sq ft
rip rap above full pond/NPL is 1 x250= 250 sq ft

DWR has reviewed the above -mentioned project and additional information is required for DWR to
complete the review.
1. As the Agent, you must also sign the bottom of the Agent Authorization form. A new form is
attached or you can simply sign the bottom of the form you provided in the application
2. This project is within the Catawba River Basin and therefore the Catawba Notification form
must be completed (attached)
3. This project is requesting a dredge. You will need to complete the dredge notification form and
provide all information listed at the bottom of this form (attached)
4. The impacts listed on the application do not match the sketch plan. The application states
1,925sgft below normal pool impacts. However, your sketch shows 55'x31'= 1,705sgft plus the
shoreline stabilization below normal pool is 3'x250' = 750sgft. This gives me a total of

2,455sgft. Can you please explain the difference. The application also states 0' above normal
pool impacts but your sketch shows 1'x250'= 250sgft above normal pool impacts. Please
explain.
5. The side view sketch is missing. Please include. I've attached a portion of the application for
you to re -complete. Please complete all pages with the corrected information. (Plan View Bank
Stabilization)
6. Photograph of the requested dredge area, photographs that were provided only show shoreline
stabilization area.
7. Include Photograph of the 50' buffer zone
