I am writing this letter in response to your 2 August 2024 email
notice of expiration regarding operating permit number W10800147, for
USMC Camp Lejeune-Site 82 located at Operable Unit 2, issued on 21 May
2007 by the Underground Injection Control Program of the North
Carolina Division of Water Resources.
Permit No. WI0800147 was submitted for the operation of injections
using emulsified soybean oil and ethyl lactate into an existing
extraction well DRW01 . Extraction well DRW01 remains a part of the
groundwater pump and treat system remedy. As requested, the findings
and monitoring data are provided in enclosure (1) . No future
injections are planned at this location and a permit rescission
request form is provided as enclosure (2) .
