Hello Perry,
I have reviewed the proposed modification request and require additional information to complete my
review. Please respond to the items below within 30 days of this email. Please note that the application is
considered "on hold" until a complete response is submitted.
1. The profile of the proposed culvert shows that there is a steep drop within the stream channel at the
proposed riprap outlet. Please provide clarification of the proposed slope at this location and the
feasibility of maintaining stability of the embedded riprap on a steep slope within a stream channel. The
Division encourages the designer to consider whether a plunge pool may provide more long term channel
stability at this location.
