Can you email us where these properties are located in proximity to your property? Thank you for your time. -Amy haimbaughnearthlink.net wrote: Amy, Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Also hope you will be getting a long weekend to bring in the New Year. I sent in the 3 copies you requested for the variance paperwork for 15947 Jetton Rd. Cornelius, NC 28277. I just wanted to make sure you had received them? Do you have any idea how long it will take to determine if the variance will be granted?(Really hoping the Christmas spirit is alive and well). Our beach is really small and the kids can't wait to use it next summer. Please stop by to visit if you ever come to Charlotte. Thanks so much for your help, and have a Happy New Year!!! The corner of the volleyball court is within the buffer (about 10 ft at the most (ie a triangle with 10 feet the greatest measurement straight from the corner). Suggest that they tell us where the other new beach areas are. When you want to come down and take a look at the Lake Hickory Marina? My calendar is wide open right now. Check out this application for an after-the-fact variance for a volleyball court and let me know if you can think of any other items to place this on hold for. Since there was an inspection and possible NOV for this one (I haven't seen the NOV if there is one) I wanted to make sure I covered all the bases. You have to really enjoy the picture of the kids holding the sign pleading for their volleyball court and the American flag in the background. Classy stuff. I'm going to write a request for more info (before we can deny the app) and tell them to remove the sand and stabilize the shoreline with grass. Did you have any information to prove they had trees removed? They say they didn't in the app. Thanks! -Amy Amy Chapman NC Division of Water Quality 401/Wetlands Unit 2321 Crabtree Blvd, Suite 250 Raleigh,-NC 27604 Phone: 919-715-6823 Fax: 919-733-6893 E-mail: amy.chapman@ncmail.net Alan Johnson - Alan.Johnsone~ncmail.net __. __ North Carolina Dept. of Environment & Natural Resources Div. of Water Quality 610 E.
