Subject: Request for Additional Information for Lower Longview Streambank Stabilization - Wake - DWR#20240834
[SAW-2024-01188]
up
After reviewing the above noted application, additional information is required in order to continue my review. Please
provide a response with the information requested within 30 days of this email. Note that the application will be
considered "on hold" until a complete response is received. If all of the requested information is not received within 30
calendar days of receipt of this letter, the Division will be unable to approve the application and it will be denied as
incomplete. The denial of this project will necessitate reapplication to the Division for approval, including a complete
application package and the appropriate fee.
DWR concurs with the items stated in USACE's email, dated 7/12/24, and requests to be included on any future replies
regarding these items. I had two additional items that required attention:
1. As Laura mentioned in her email, please enumerate all permanent and temporary stream impacts including fill
slopes/ dissipater pads/ riprap/ grading/ etc. on the site plan and clearly label impacts (Stream Impact 1 - Riprap,
etc.). [15A NCAC 02H .0502(g)]
• Please also parse out buffer impacts to clearly show how much of zone 1 and/or zone 2 are being
impacted by grading, construction access, restoration, and the boulder walls.
2. Will the stacked boulder wall at the "second site" (near Milburnie Road?) be constructed within the original
footprint of the existing wall?
Please note that responses to the questions above may prompt additional information requests to allow full evaluation of
the proposed project. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this request.
Best,
