Project Narrative
For
The City of Burlington
8" Sewer Line Extension
for
High St. Sewer Extension
The purpose of this sewer line extension is to provide service to a proposed 3 bedroom
single family home on an existing residential lot located at 806 High St., Burlington, NC.
The existing sewer located in the roadway stops short of the existing residential lot and
must be extended to serve the proposed home on the existing lot.
The existing sewer main is located closer than 10' horizontally from the existing water
main. The proposed main must connect to this existing manhole. The proposed 56 LF of
sewer main has been proposed to be Ductile Iron Pipe. The sewer service lateral will
cross an existing water main. Material of the sewer service lateral has been proposed as
DIP as well.
