A:Control Measures
1:Equipment is checked daily, weekly and monthly
with trucks receiving routine maintenance as needed.
2:Spray equipment includes:
A:2 50gal gear pump spray tanks
B:1 35gal gear pump spray tank
C:1 15gal battery powered sprayer
D:6 backpack Sthil sprayers
3:Equipment was calibrated in May and oil is
changed once a month. Fittings are checked weekly
4:Visual assessments
A:All ponds are checked on a monthly basis.
B:During peak growing season ponds may
be checked twice a month.
5:When arriving at treatment site weeds are
identified and impacts are assessed
6:Prior to Initial treatment customers are asked what
and if any control measures where used in the past
B:Actions necessary to minimize discharge
A:Spill response
1:Spill response kits are in each truck and
response form is located in the office.
2:sds sheets are located in office and in truck
which provides numbers and information for response
agencies and regulatory agencies
3:Applicators are instructed to inform proper
personnel if leak occurs
C:Adverse incident response procedures
1:If spill occurs regulatory agencies are notified and
report is written down on spill response form in
notebook
D:Pesticide Monitoring Procedures
1:All of our licensed applicators are trained to
monitor the ponds we are treating
2:Documenting of non impact organisms resulting
from non target pesticides discharge includes taking
of pictures and written description of problem
