This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NCG560027. Mountain Lake and Pond Management specializes in the treatment of algae and aquatic weeds in North Carolina. According to Mr. Sargent, all chemicals are EPA approved for aquatic use. The storage facility appeared to be organized and well maintained. A spill kit was labeled and readily accessible. Emergency response numbers were posted on the door. A copy of the NPDES permit and Pesticide Discharge Management Plan were in a binder and displayed in the office. Daily records including calibration, chemical, and acreage were available.
