The estimated normal pool level and the estimated height of the subject shoreline above the normal pool level are depicted on the attached details. The Site Plan prepared by Black & Veatch indicates that an area of the river bottom will be excavated to an elevation of 606 for a distance of approximately 50 feet from the base of the gabion basket shoreline stabilization. Calculation 1— Impact Area Below Normal Pool Level (Item 8 on NCDEQ Form SSGP 09-2020) Area of Impact = Shoreline Length x Depth* x Slope to Shoreline =210'x12'x1 = 2520 sq. ft. of impact to shoreline Area of Impact = Shoreline Length x Distance beyond gabion baskets To River Bottom =210'x50' = 10,500 sq. ft. Total Area of Impact = 13,020 sq.ft. Calculation 2 — Impact Area Above the Normal Pool Level (Item 9 on NCDEQ Form SSGP 09-2020) Permanent Impact From Shoreline Stabilization Measures Estimated Height of Bank Above Normal Pool depicted on Details Estimate 210 LF of Shoreline = 9 ft. Above Normal Pool Area of Impact = Length x Height x Slope =(210'x9'x1) = 1890 sq. ft. Impact From Construction Above Shoreline Stabilization Assume 50 ft.
