LOW DENSITY DESIGN REQUIREMENTS FOR LOW DENSITY PROJECTS FROM 02H.1003 1 Is project below density thresholds set forth in the applicable stormwater rule? Yes 2 Does project maximize dispersed flow and minimize channelization of flow? Yes 3 Has the use of piping been minimized per.1003(2)(c)? Yes 4 Side slopes of the vegetated conveyances(H:V) 3:1 5 Maximum velocity in the vegetated conveyances during the 10-year storm? 1.19 6 Are curb outlet swales proposed? No 7 Maximum longitudinal slope of curb outlet swale(s)(%) n/a 8 Bottom width of curb outlet swale(s)(feet) n/a 9 Maximum side slope of curb outlet swale(s)(H:V) n/a 10 Minimum length of curb outlet swale(s)(feet) n/a 11 Are treatment swales used instead of curb outlet swales? Yes 12 Is stormwater released at the edge of the setback as dispersed flow? Yes 13 Have stormwater outlets been designed to prevent downslope erosion? Yes 14 Are variations to rule .1003 proposed? Yes ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 15 Please use this space to provide any additional information about this low density project: As indicated above in#14 this project is requesting a variation to rule .1003. Do to existng flooding issues with the rear of the ex building and protection for the proposed addition the plan is to install a roof header system with drop inlets only on the rear of the building to capture this runoff and then discharge it under the parking lot do to grade challenges. The proposed pipe has been reduced to the minimum length possible and incorporates a level spread outlet at the discharge to provide dispersed flow. Non- erosive discharges are provided within the channel per the calculations. The discharge from the pipe and the sheet flow from the parking lot will then enter an 18'wide grass swale along the edge of the parking lot which then sheet flows off-site to the existing stream which is 190'away from the level spreder. All of the drainage areas into the storm sewer system are low density along with the project bein lowcdensity. Finally the project actually provides a reduction in the BUA Drainage Pervious Swale BUA Q Slope Vallow Vactual Flow depth Area area (ac) (cfs) (%) (fps) (fps) (ft) (ac) (ac) 1 0.52 I 0.22 0.30 0.58 2.33 2.00 4.50 1.19 0.17 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 _10 11 12 13
