Inspection Summary:
On August 6,2024, staff from the Fayetteville Regional Office conducted an inspection of Champion Homes in Laurinburg
because of a Representative Outfall request. During the inspection it was discovered that the permit is still under the
previous owner, Crestline Homes and a change of ownership is required to modify the permit to the correct business which
is Champion Homes. During the inspection, staff observed the following:
The SWPPP was assessed and contained all necessary components and analytical and qualitative monitoring data was
observed. Totes were observed outdoors, some of them empty with lids off and some containing materials, without proper
secondary containment. Employees were observed to be washing materials outdoors. Outdoor storage of vehicle fuel in
secondary containment area. Both stormwater outfalls were observed and each drainage area to their respective outfall was
inspected for representative outfall status.
The drainage areas for outfall 1 and outfall 2 contain similar activities and materials and the majority of the site drains to
outfall 1. For these reasons, it is recommended that representative outfall status be granted for outfall 1.
Please ensure the following:
1. A change of ownership is sent into the Central Office with the update business information.
2. Employee training is up to date with accurate materials handling procedures and employee training records are properly
maintained in the SWPPP.
3. Secondary containment is provided for all outdoor liquid storage totes, or that unused totes are properly disposed of.
4. Good housekeeping practices are conducted throughout the site, in particular, the drywalling area.
The site will be inspected for compliance on or after 9/23/2024
