This letter has been sent, in accordance with the Permit,to notify the NCDEQ Regional Office of benchmark
exceedance(s)as required by Certificate of Coverage NCG030747,General Permit NCG030000. Results of required
benchmark monitoring samples during the second quarter of 2024 displayed an exceedance in Chemical Oxygen Demand
(COD)at Outfall 004:
Benchmark Limit: 120 mg/L
Sampled: 30 June 2024, Rainfall: 0.11"
Results: 140 mg/L
Results of required benchmark monitoring samples during the second quarter of 2024 displayed an exceedance of Total
Suspended Solids(TSS) at Outfall 004:
Benchmark Limit: 100 mg/L
Sampled: 30 June 2024, Rainfall: 0.11"
Results: 290 mg/L
This exceedance requires a Tier 1 response and action plan by the Facility as stated in Section E(5)Table 3 of the Permit
as this is an initial exceedance of the parameter(s). The Facility has initiated required actions and will follow specified
timelines in accordance with the Permit. Results for the corresponding outfall have been submitted via the general
comment section Within the 2Q2024 eDMR submittal,as an option for OF-004 is not available within the electronic
