Riverside Drive was barricaded to preven vehicular traffic and inlcuded caution do -not -enter tape accross road in close proximity to the SSO. Two manholes were actively overflowing at the time of the inspection. One manhole was overflowing at a higher rate than the other. An adjacent stormdrain to the SSO was backed up from the Tar river water level on Riverside Drive. The Tar river was observed at a high level. I discussed with Mr. Williams the placement of a sign at the SSO location to provide additional warning/notification for pedestrians that may encounter the quardened off area. Mr. Williams indicated that they had discussed installing signage and additional caution tape. Mr. Williams indicated that the area would remain quardended off until the SSO stopped and was cleaned up. No sewer system solids were noted with the SSO at the time of the visit. Mr. Williams indicated that fecal coliform samples would be collected.
