Dear Ms. Manuel,
Franklin County is in receipt of NOV-2024-DV-0257 dated June 13, 2024. Events that led to the SSO for which
this NOV reference was due to a pipe failure of the Industrial Park WWPS. The station is a duplex station and
was operating under normal conditions when a small section of force main beyond the pump station valves
failed. Franklin County staff along with an outside vendor began the work of replacing the section of pipe. Once
repairs were made, Franklin County staff began cleanup of the affected area.
We are confident that with the diligent work of Franklin County staff, vendors, and investments in
infrastructure this type of system failure and 5SO can be prevented.
